I use the bookmarks toolbar in firefox extensively. I sometimes use that like a to do list also. For example to read a web page at a later time or reminder to write an e-mail. I had also combined the bookmarks toolbar with the menu bar to have more browser window space for viewing pages. I was soon running out of space for the bookmarks in the toolbar. Today I just looked at the menus and thought, “I am using the menus rarely. Would it not be nice to have all these menus collapsed into a single nested menu. Then I would have some more space for my bookmarks.”

I went and googled for “firefox collapse all browser menus”. The first link showed the existence of a plug-in called tiny menu. But it was for a older version of firefox. I went to the firefox add-on page and searched for tiny menu. The latest version was available there. Installed it immediately and now I have some more space for bookmarks. The add-on also has options to control which menus should be collapsed. So I can collapse everything except bookmarks. I love firefox.
