Installing Ubuntu Linux on my PC with Windows Vista was easier than I thought. The article in a forum described everything. Everything went as described there except for the installation CD. I initially burnt the ISO image on a writable CD. The CD did not work very well. It did not complete the CD check also. After that I read in some website that a DVD works better. So I burnt the ISO image on a DVD and everything installed smoothly afterwards. I had to turn off NumLock in the keyboard before the CD responded a little to the keyboard. I am not sure whether the same issue was there for DVD.
Most of the instruction manuals I came across were confusing and they mix the instructions for several models into one. For example if you bought this model, then do this additional step here etc. Why do I care about model B if I had bought model A. It is already confusing enough. And the parts are labeled only in a picture in the manual and many parts look similar. But finally for a change the instruction set of the retractable computer table I bought from staples were great. All the parts were already labeled. The instructions were also very clear and easy to follow. We need Ambrose Monk to write all instructions manuals.
