Today I was in the parking lot ready to take my car. A person from the nearby complex wearing a sleeve-less t-shirt and shorts was waving towards me. He shouted ‘Hello friend’. Simultaneously he was also trying to wave to another guy passing by. I was doubtful whom he was waving at when he came towards me almost running. He said he has some stuff for sale in his house and asked me to come and take a look. I was in a hurry and told him that I will come later. But he did not leave and asked me to come and take a look. He smelled of alcohol. There was some dark cloth tied on his head and it looked like he got some injury under that.
He said he is moving to New Jersey and wants to sell stuff. He said he has TV, entertainment center etc. I told him I have all those stuff. He said his car got towed and he needs twenty dollars. After I told him I do not need those things he said ok and went after another person driving into the parking lot.
After a weekend trip here is what I found. Most of them were already known but it keeps happening.
Always the other lanes go fast. This is true especially when the traffic is moving slow.
You will see the sign for your exit just when you are at the exit and when you are in the left lane. (For some reason in New Jersey I seem to find all the route names just above the exit with no pre-warning).
There will always be a car in the blind spot.
Someone with the brightest possible light will be behind you.
You will run out of gas near the costliest gas station.
There will be a slow car in front of you within a minute you are on cruise.
The sign you have to read will be in front of a truck.
You will get lost only in the last part of the trip in local roads for which you will not have maps.
