My dead mouse.
After about 2 years I bought my desktop, my mouse started giving double clicks sometimes when I pressed it only once. This was bearable initially. Later it slowly degraded and started double clicking frequently and randomly. If you are playing lots of computer games you will know how annoying it could become in the middle of a game. This is what happened after a game. Having no mouse is better than such a mouse.

I did not do any of the Popular queries, Popular Men or Popular Women searches. I did not know Legolas is Oralando Bloom. I might have searched for spybot last year. I do not understand how wallpaper is on the top tech stuff. In popular country queries India is 3rd. Boston red sox beat ny yankees in sports. Janet Jackson is more popular than Kerry. Most people in top public figures did something bad. Why is ge aircraft engines in the top companies list?
My civic made the popular cars list. Although I would like to go to the number 2 for my next car. I did not contribute to the female or male celebrity searches. I got a digital camera this year and used google to find reviews and good prices. All clothing list must have been contributed by women. I am yet to see tablet pc becoming widely used. gps is in my wishlist. Although it spoils the fun of getting lost once in a while. Whenever we go to Boston city we promptly get lost.
Is “night vision goggle” a sport or hobby? In local search all the standard chain stores are present. Although I do not see Target which is pretty competitive to Walmart. Real estate is the top professional service beating even attorneys. No wonder house prices are still going up. I have never been to a zoo in USA. Don’t ask whether I went to other entertainment services in the list. Pizza yes, weekly once atleast.

I have been trying to open an NRI bank account for almost an year. Initially I tried citibank. Since I already had an account with them in India I though it will not take much time. One day I went through their website and started filling a huge form. There were so many places which had repetition of information. Above that there was some javascript or flash thingy floating around the form. It is supposed to be for help. Can’t it be seen if it were sitting static. If that thing comes over the areas where I am filling I have to wait till it moves over, to continue. After that ordeal of about more than 30 minutes finally pressed the submit button. Then came the dreaded ‘Internal server error’. Pressed back and tried again. No luck. Since I spent so much time anyways I thought I will spend little more time and filled the feedback form also with all the troubles I had. And then I forgot about it. After a week there was a mail from their customer support with just two lines. “If you have any trouble with their account please contact customer support with your account number”. It took me a while to realize this message is reply for the feedback form. Great they didn’t even read the feedback form fully.
Then recently I tried to open in ICICI bank. This experience was much much better and I wish I started with these people earlier. I filled the form online took the print out and had a question about how much was the minimum amount. I called their customer support that person in addition also told me that I can send the form to their drop box in US saving postage. After that for a small correction I had to download the form again. I tried downloading the form from their website. Their downloading page was trying to open the downloading in a new window while closing the old window. Internet explorer with SP2 simply blocked the pop-up and closed the old window and I had no idea what happened. Then tried opening the page in firefox and realized that I had to allow pop-ups. By this time I had pressed the submit button several times. Then allowed pop-ups and downloaded the form. Next day in email there was an attached form from ICICI saying “in case you had trouble downloading the form we have sent the form to you”. Very pleasant. They also called later for a missing document. After sending that now they have opened the account for me. I wish their page works good with firefox too.
By the way if you want worst browser experience visit times of india in firefox without flash installed.
I did not check the posts for a week. In the weekend checked the site and saw there were about 15-20 comments for each post. Ofcourse I know not that many are reading my websites and knew they must be spam. It was like a few spams per week earlier. But suddenly it became 1000s with each post having in 10s. I don’t know what makes the spammers think that people will keep so much spam in their comments.
Logged into my server and with some sql deleted all the spam comments. Thankfully there weren’t too much variety. Temporarily I have placed an image code to be entered along with the comment. I will have to work on automatizing the image creation and also some mild distortion. Sorry for the inconvenience of entering the code.
