I bought my digital camera two years ago for about $300. It was a FUJI 2MP camera with 3x optical zoom. The pictures are good and the camera is working well. Last year my roommate bought the same camera for $200. Yesterday I went to Best-buy and saw the same camera for $130. That is more than 50% price reduction for the same features in two years. For electronics goods more than quality we have to look for how fast it will get outdated. Paying a few $s extra for a product which lasts little bit longer may not be worth. Since you might more likely be throwing it away and buying a more recent one before the product fails.

Guimp claims to be the world’s smallest website. It has got a blog, some links and images all in a very small image. I would say navigation is better than some clunkier sites. Alternate text on images and status gives more info.

Wanted to buy a web camera for a while. So searched in the net for a good camera at a good price. I saw that creative web cam pro and nx pro had good reviews. But they were a bit costlier compared to the other low end brands. Tried froogle and found several good prices. But the ones with best deals did not have creative web cam nx pro in stock. Finally went to amazon.com. Got the best of everything with free shipping there. It takes little longer to ship but that does not matter. I ordered it yesterday. One thing I learned is search everywhere before buying anything online. Some places had priced it 50-70% higher than what I bought it for.
An update: 08/25/2003 The camera was delivered today which is 2 days earlier than expected time.

My roommates were watching a movie. It is supposed to be an art movie and got some awards also. The movie had some great acting scenes. In one scene the actor was upset and sad about something. He came out of the house and sat in his car with a sad expression. He was still and did not move or change his expression. Roommates admired about the scene and kept wondering how he was able to keep that for such a long time. After some talking they felt something is weird. They checked the player. The DVD player got some problem and the movie had stopped.
